The main objective of the course is to gain practical experience in creating a graphical user interface (GUI). Therefore the students will apply their theoretical knowledge on design methods and processes to create an interactive prototype. In this module we focus on an application that bundles all administrative processes and services that are required as a ZHdK student. All from the point of view of digitization. For this purpose, we are developing an interface for a smartphone application that students have all the important data in their pocket, accessible at every time.
MYZHDK is a mobile solution as a highly customisable information platform for students to manage their day to day life at the ZHdK.
A modular approach to adapt to your personal needs and all information in one place, makes the platform a strong companion during your studies.
ZHDK GO! is the user-friendly app that makes everyday school life easier for students. It is the safe haven in the sometimes confusing platform landscape of the ZHdK and offers features such as a highly customisable start screen, a quick overview of all upcoming deadlines and a simplified process for requesting a semester leave. To make it easy to get started, there is an interactive onboarding process that gives first-time users the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the app.
The ZHdK is the largest art school in Switzerland. This creates a difficult situation, because there are many needs of students and webpages to be managed by ZHdK.
We decided, therefore, to design the ZHDK APP. The application combines the functions and needs for studends at one single place on their phone.
The idea behind STUDAZ is to create an interactive Dashboard for Students, where they are able to have an overview over their studies. The plan was, to create a product, that’s accessible, useful and can substitute analog processes.
This project tackles the administrative side of ZHdK. In ZHDK STUDENT APP, we try to create a mobile platform for students, where they can oversee various aspects of their studies. The aim is to make a customizable dashboard, that the student can use on a daily basis.
