The project ‘Soilution Kit’ deals with the issue of measuring soil data mainly in the field of agriculture. The main goal is it to raise awareness to the quality of soil health and to facilitate the process of improving and observing the status of soil by analyzing the measured data. The Soilution Kit provides the farmer with a complete tool which measures the soil on specific values, including the microbes in soil, temperature, PH- level, humidity and more. The tool itself consists of 3 components which can be plugged together to one piece. Additionally, the Kit includes several membranes which can be adapted to the tool to measure the enzymes in soil.
Our idea is it to integrate the ‘Soilution Kit’ to more use cases than in agriculture, for example we want to provide the tool for the fields of science, forestry, gardening and education. Because soil health plays an important role in all of those environments we wanted to develop a tool which is simple to use in the required environment, accessible for everyone and portable.
