The theory modules are theory seminars that aim to provide a contextual framework for design. The seminar Theory 1 aims to develop an understanding of the relationship between design, technology and society. Drawing on perspectives from history, anthropology, sociology and philosophy, the seminar explores the co-evolutionary aspects between technology and society.
The goal of this seminar is to develop an understanding of the relationship between technology and society. Using perspectives from history, anthropology, sociology, and philosophy, the seminar explores the co-evolutionary aspects between technology and society. On the one hand, humans can only stand out from nature through technologies; on the other hand, this technologically created second nature often threatens the very existence of humans.
