A face contains a lot of information that is so unique to a person that the use of face recognition technology is perceived as very personal. A photo of a person is no longer just a photo. It is a defining feature of an identity that could be shared or used in ways that consumers would not understand, anticipate or consent to.
Every time a face gets into the web, it most likely becomes part of a facial recognition database. This collection mania is changing the meaning of the human face tremendously. It can be seen as a new kind of currency.
«FACEPOT» offers the chance to win the collected facial data as well as the power over them, to question the real value of this data.
