Virtual Reality (VR) is gradually finding its place in the broad masses, but its potential has not yet been reached: its standard of interaction mainly focuses on the use of controllers. Yet, we went a step further and asked ourselves: which gestures are best suited to control virtual worlds and what needs to be taken into account? Our extensive research showed that we mostly just scroll, zoom and trigger actions. For these three interactions, we defined gestures by means of several user tests. With these, we lay the foundation for the use of individual gestures or controllers in specific applications. These gestures can be experienced in our VR demo.
