Theory III: Aesthetics of Interaction
We explore the aesthetics of interaction design from the perspective of their origins, cultural contexts, and case studies. Specifically, it addresses topics such as ecological design, performative experimentation, public interventions, spatial and political design, speculative design, bio-design, data literacy, Surveillance Capitalism, and AI.
We learn to contextualize practical projects within current discourses and discuss how our theoretical assumptions and knowledge are transformed by our design practice.
In parallel, we will practice working through relevant literature and critically engage with textual material, while learning methods of academic work.
