Graphical User Interface

This module focuses on the design and prototypical implementation of graphical user interfaces. While following a three-phase process split up in phases like exploration, creation and evaluation, we learn step by step how to design a graphical user interface (GUI). We start by analyzing existing GUIs and gaining insights into the behavior, problems, and wishes of our target user group through UX design methods like personas, user journey maps and user interviews. The functionalities of the application are specified on the foundation of different use cases. Wireframes are used to define the basic framework of the interface. According to the framework, we are designing the graphical user interface. Partial areas are prototypically implemented in order to use them for a simple usability test.
